What is OpenMail?
OpenNet is an attempt to develop alternatives to WindowsNT/2K
based networking features such as DHCP
and Email Services, all while maintaining full RFC compliency
under the Win32 platform. Coded in Borland C++, Microsoft
Visual C++ and ASP for webmail services. |
|
As of
March 2002, the current development cycle of Lanman
has been discontinued. The software was being developed
under MIcrosoft Visual Basic, which presented multithreading
issues. The server will be ported to C++ for future
developments.
*Client Build: 2.1
*Server Build: 1.7.35 Alpha |

XCyteMail
is a stripped down version of the OpenNet kernel containing
static mail services and the original webmail service.
The current webmail package with XCyteMail is obsolete,
and the new version will be included asap. |
|
OpenNet
and XCyteMail both use the XCE (XCyte Configuration
Engine) for dynamic runtime configuration scripts. The
configuration engine operates much like a compiler,
first processing the main.c file, then loading additional
modules via this file.
The library for the configuration engine may be found
here. |
